Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 2140 Studios ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you play Screw Moves (the "Game") on Android or iOS. We built the Game to collect as little as possible: it has no accounts, no sign-in, and no chat, and we do not run our own servers that receive your data.
1. Information we collect
Information stored on your device
The Game saves your progress (levels completed, coins, power-ups, and settings such as sound, music and vibration) locally on your device. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the Game or clear its data.
Information we do not collect
We do not ask for or collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or any other directly identifying information. The Game does not offer in-app purchases, so we do not process payment information.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Game is free and supported by ads served through Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. To show, measure and limit ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may automatically collect information from your device, such as:
- Device identifiers, such as the Android Advertising ID or, where permitted, the iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA)
- IP address and approximate location derived from it
- Device model, operating system, language, and app version
- Ad interactions, such as impressions and clicks, and diagnostic data about ad performance
This information is collected and processed by Google under its own policies. We do not receive it in a form that identifies you. Learn more:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services

Consent and your ad choices
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: on first launch, the Game shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can choose whether ads may be personalized. You can change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy in the Game.
- US state privacy laws: where required, the same form lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, under Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads, depending on your device).
- iOS: the Game does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not track you across other companies' apps and websites. You can also turn off personalized ads in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
If you do not consent to personalized ads, you may still see non-personalized ads, which rely on contextual information such as the app and your general location.
3. How information is used
| Purpose | Data involved | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| Saving your game progress and settings | Game progress, settings | Your device only |
| Showing, measuring and limiting ads; fraud prevention | Device identifiers, IP address, device info, ad interactions | Google (AdMob) |
| Recording and honoring your privacy choices | Consent status | Google (UMP), stored on your device |
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those listed above.
4. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, personalized advertising relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in the Game's Privacy settings. Storing your progress on your device and serving non-personalized ads rely on our legitimate interest in providing and funding a free game.
5. Data retention
Game data stays on your device until you uninstall the Game or clear its storage. Data collected by Google is retained according to Google's own retention policies.
6. Children's privacy
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Game, contact us and we will help remove it.
7. Security
Because we do not operate servers that store your data, your game progress remains on your device. Data sent to Google is transmitted over encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we choose providers that follow industry-standard practices.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Since we do not hold personal data about you on our own systems, the fastest ways to exercise these rights are:
- Changing your ad consent in Settings → Privacy in the Game
- Resetting or deleting your device's advertising identifier
- Uninstalling the Game to delete all locally stored data
- Using Google's tools at myaccount.google.com for data Google holds
You can also contact us, and you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. International transfers
Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Google relies on appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, for transfers out of the EEA and UK.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. Significant changes may also be announced in the Game.
