Droplet · Compress & Extract

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 5, 2026 · Applies to Droplet for iOS and Android
In short

This Privacy Policy explains what information Droplet (the “App”) handles, how it is used, and the choices you have. The App is published by 2140 Studio (“we”, “us”). If you have questions, contact us at support@2140s.com.

1. What we do not collect

2. Information stored on your device

The App keeps a small amount of data locally so it can work. This data never leaves your device unless your operating system backs it up as part of a device backup you control.

DataWhyWhere
Files you choose to compress or extractTo perform the operation you asked for. You pick files through the system file or photo picker; the App only gets access to the items you select, or to archives you open with Droplet from another app.Read from where they are; results are written to the folder below.
Archives and extracted files created by the AppYour output.iOS: Files › On My iPhone › Droplet. Android: Downloads › Droplet.
Recent archives listTo show your recent archives on the home screen.App storage on the device. Removed when you delete the archive or uninstall the App.
Settings and onboarding stateTo remember that you have seen the introduction, your preferences, and your advertising consent choices.App storage on the device.
Pro entitlement (iOS)To know whether to hide ads and unlock Pro features.Provided by Apple’s StoreKit on your device; not stored by us.

You can delete the App’s output at any time with the Files app (iOS) or any file manager (Android). Uninstalling the App removes its settings and recent list; archives you saved remain in the folders above until you delete them.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free version of the App shows ads provided by Google AdMob, part of Google LLC. Ads appear as a native ad in the recent archives list, as an optional rewarded video you can watch to unlock a feature once, and as a full-screen ad after a compression or extraction finishes.

To deliver, measure and secure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:

Google acts as an independent controller of this data. How Google uses it is described in the Google Privacy Policy and in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google may share this data with its advertising partners listed at AdMob ad technology providers.

Advertising measurement (Android only): Google Analytics for Firebase

The Android version includes Google Analytics for Firebase. We use it only to measure how much revenue the ads in the App earn and how well our own ad campaigns (for example on Google Ads) bring new users, so that those campaigns can be optimized. It may collect:

It never receives your files, file names, archive contents or passwords. This data is processed by Google under the Firebase privacy and security terms, is shared with Google Ads to measure and optimize our campaigns, and is retained for the period configured in our Analytics settings (at most 14 months). The consent choices below also apply to it: where a consent form is required and you decline, Analytics does not use advertising identifiers or store data for advertising purposes.

Your consent choices

The App does not request ads before you have made your consent choice, and never serves ads during onboarding, permission screens, or while an operation is running.

Ad attribution (iOS)

The App lists Apple’s SKAdNetwork identifiers so that ad networks can measure whether an ad led to an install using Apple’s privacy-preserving attribution system. This does not reveal your identity to us or to the ad network.

4. Purchases (iOS only)

Droplet Pro is offered on iOS as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription with a free trial, and a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment card or billing address. Apple provides the App with a receipt and transaction identifiers so the App can unlock Pro features and restore purchases on your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Apple’s handling of your purchase data is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.

The Android version has no in-app purchases.

5. Permissions and system access

6. Children

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

Because your files are processed on your device and not transmitted to us, the main protections are those of your device: its lock screen, encryption and backups. Archives you encrypt with a password in the App use the encryption of the chosen format (ZIP with AES-256). If you forget the password, neither we nor anyone else can recover the contents.

8. Retention

We do not hold your personal data on servers of our own. Data stored on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App. Data collected by Google for advertising is retained according to Google’s policies linked in section 3; Analytics data on Android is retained as described in section 3.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because we do not store personal data on servers of our own, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device (sections 2 and 3) or with Google and Apple through the links above. If you have a request or a complaint, contact us at support@2140s.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents. We do not sell your personal information. Advertising through Google may constitute “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out using the choices in section 3.

10. International transfers

We do not transfer your data anywhere because we do not receive it. Google processes advertising and analytics data on servers around the world, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the App changes or when the law requires. The effective date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be announced in the App or on this page.
